Java Developer

What awaits you

• Design, develop, and deploy Java-based applications, ensuring high performance, responsiveness, and scalability
• Implement API integrations with various external systems using RESTful and SOAP protocols, ensuring seamless communication and data exchange
• Developing business logic based on JEE using applications servers
• Optimize application performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure efficient utilization of resources in cloud environments
• Implement security best practices and standards to protect data and systems against potential threats and vulnerabilities
• Write clean, well-documented code and adhere to coding standards and guidelines
• Define and document data models for the applications
• Using test driven development techniques
• Using and maintaining a CI/CD pipeline
• Deploying the application to a Kubernetes cluster
• Working in an Agile team using Scrum/Kanban methodology and their derivatives
• Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, and other Agile/Scrum ceremonies to ensure high-quality deliverables and on-time project completion
• End-to-end responsibility for application development
• Stay updated with emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices to continuously improve skills and contribute to the team's success
• Transform business requirements into structured technical specifications
• Collaborate with Product Owners, Business Analysts, Architects, and QA engineers to refine requirements

What should you bring along

• University Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business or a related field
• At least 5 years of experience on a similar Java Developer role is required
• Mandatory skills: MCP + Skills + Agents, PostgreSQL or similar, Data Mapping, VSCode + Github or similar IDE
• Experience in development with Java SE 11+
• JUnit experience and knowledge
• Relational Database concepts and usage (PostgreSQL or other), NoSQL concepts and usage (MongoDB or other), Migration tools (e.g. Flyway)
• Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools for CI/CD, automated testing, and deployment (Jenkins, Git, Docker, Kubernetes, etc.)
• Nice to have: AWS/Azure, Terraform
• Good understanding of software design principles, design patterns, and best practices
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Excellent English verbal and written skills
• German communication skills will be a plus
