Java Developer – Payments / BFSI

We are looking for an experienced Senior Java Developer with strong expertise in Java 8, Spring Boot, and Microservices architecture. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in payment systems and a strong understanding of the BFSI domain, with the ability to develop secure, scalable, and high-performance financial applications.

• Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade applications using Java 8 and Spring Boot.
• Build and enhance microservices-based applications for payment processing systems.
• Develop RESTful APIs and integrate internal and external payment services.
• Work on payment processing workflows, transaction management, and financial application integrations.
• Ensure secure, reliable, and high-performance transaction processing.
• Collaborate with product owners, business analysts, QA teams, and other developers to deliver solutions.
• Troubleshoot production issues, perform root-cause analysis, and optimize application performance.
• Follow coding standards, conduct code reviews, and write unit and integration tests.
• Participate in technical discussions, design reviews, and agile development activities.

• 6+ years of hands-on experience in Java development.
• Strong knowledge of Java 8 features, including Streams, Lambda Expressions, and the Date and Time API.
• Hands-on experience with Spring Boot and REST API development.
• Strong experience in Microservices architecture and distributed systems.
• Experience in payment systems or payment processing applications.
• Good understanding of the BFSI domain, including banking or financial services workflows.
• Experience with SQL and relational databases.
• Understanding of exception handling, multithreading, debugging, and performance optimization.
• Knowledge of unit testing frameworks such as JUnit and Mockito.

• Experience with payment gateways, payment orchestration, or transaction processing.
• Knowledge of messaging technologies such as Kafka or RabbitMQ.
• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud platforms.
• Understanding of payment security, transaction reconciliation, and idempotency.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to develop robust and maintainable backend services.
• Good communication and collaboration skills.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
