This is a prime opportunity to contribute to large-scale financial projects, working with cutting-edge technologies in an established organization that values creativity, technical excellence, and strategic impact.

Salary: R80 000 per month.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and build Java integration services and enterprise applications within a banking setting.
  • Participate in all phases of the development lifecycle, including design, planning, implementation, and deployment.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and craft innovative solutions.
  • Ensure high performance, reliability, and security of applications.
  • Troubleshoot, optimize, and maintain existing systems.
  • Adhere to Agile (SCRUM) methodologies and contribute to team efforts.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship where needed.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 4 years of Java application development experience.
  • At least 4 years of JEE experience.
  • Strong background in application architecture, design, and deployment.
  • Extensive hands-on experience with WebSphere Application Server, J2EE, and related open-source frameworks.
  • Proficiency in web technologies such as Angular (preferably Angular 4), JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS.
  • Solid knowledge of SOA architecture, Web Services (SOAP/XML), REST, and MQ protocols.
  • Experience with high-volume databases including SQL, DB2, and NoSQL databases such as Cassandra or MongoDB.
  • Familiarity with virtualization, caching technologies, and deployment automation.
  • Proven problem-solving skills and a self-driven attitude.
  • Relevant certifications and a degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • Familiarity with the following:
    • Eclipse, IntelliJ, Git, Maven, Jenkins, SonarQube, Nexus.
    • WebSphere MessageBroker, DataPower, API-Connect.
    • Application migration to WebSphere Application Server.
