Java Developer

Salary: SGD 4500 - 6000 per month

Position: Java Developer
Contract Duration: 12 months
Salary: Up to SGD 6,000/month, depending on relevant experience and qualifications
Working Hours: Office hours
Working Days: 5 days per week
Work Arrangement: Onsite
Location: Singapore

We are looking for a Java Developer to join a dynamic development team and contribute to the delivery of high-quality web applications and business solutions.

This is a hands-on development role suited for a Java professional with experience in Java/J2EE, web application development, databases and API integration.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test and maintain web applications using Java/J2EE
• Develop applications in accordance with established development standards
• Work closely with senior developers and technical teams to deliver IT solutions
• Develop and integrate REST/RPC APIs between applications
• Perform unit testing, troubleshooting and technical issue resolution
• Support application packaging and deployment releases
• Assist with requirements gathering and technical documentation
• Refine and tune integrations between applications
• Support application enhancements and continuous improvement

Requirements

• Diploma, Associate Degree or Bachelor's Degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering or a related discipline
• 3+ years of software development experience preferred
• Strong hands-on experience in Java/J2EE development
• Experience with Java Frameworks / SDK
• Strong database development experience with one or more of:
  Oracle, MS SQL, MySQL or MongoDB
• Experience with REST / RPC / APIs and application integration
• Good understanding of MVC architecture and Hibernate
• Experience with JavaScript and one or more of:
  Angular.js, React.js, Node.js or Knockout.js
• Good understanding of software development and testing practices
• Strong troubleshooting, communication and problem-solving skills

Good to Have

• AWS / Cloud deployment experience
• Agile development experience
• Java-based mobile application development
• Java or React certification
• Knowledge of web application security
