The Role

We are looking for an experienced Java Software Developer to join a high-performing engineering team delivering innovative, large-scale technology solutions within a global organisation.

You'll contribute to the development of modern software platforms, working across multiple initiatives including new product development, payment integrations and platform enhancements. This is an excellent opportunity to work with modern Java technologies in an Agile environment while collaborating with talented engineers and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop and maintain Java-based applications.
  • Build high-quality, scalable software using Spring Boot.
  • Develop and maintain RESTful APIs and backend services.
  • Work with Oracle SQL and MongoDB databases.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional Agile teams.
  • Contribute to new feature development and platform enhancements.
  • Participate in code reviews and follow engineering best practices.
  • Work across multiple concurrent projects and priorities.
  • Support continuous improvement and automation initiatives.
  • Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Skills & Experience

  • 3–5 years' commercial software development experience.
  • Experience with Spring Boot.
  • Oracle SQL knowledge.
  • Experience working within Agile teams.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • C++ experience.
  • MongoDB exposure.
  • Payments or financial transaction experience.
  • Hospitality or booking platform experience.
  • Experience with Quarkus.
  • Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude or Gemini.
  • Azure knowledge or certifications.
