Java Developer (Security experience required)
Summary
A 6-month contract Java developer role (with extension/FTE conversion potential) placed at a major bank in Scarborough, Ontario. The developer builds enterprise Java/J2EE applications and focuses on application security: static code analysis (GitHub CodeQL, IBM AppScan, HP Fortify), OWASP vulnerability remediation, and Unix shell scripting.

We are currently seeking competent individuals to fulfill the role ofJava Developer (Security)to join our dynamic team for our client, one of themajor banks.
Location Address: Scarborough, Ontario
Contract Duration:6 months
Possibility of extension & conversion to FTE
Pay: $80,000.00-$90,000.00 per year
- 3+ years of Enterprise software development experience on Java/J2EE.
- RDBMS SQL programming expertise
- Solid hands on experience withGITHUB codeQL,IBM AppScan, and HP Fortify Static Code Analysis
- Strong knowledge ofOWASPwith theSecurityVulnerabilitiesand related working experience
- Experience withSecurity authentication on Application
- Provide guidance and support for QA team
- Experience using ServiceNow or JIRA for defect tracking and test case management
- Java Script, XML, XSL, UML, ClearCase is an asset
- Unix Shell Scripting is a must
- Additionally,security remediation skills, and specifically decent unix admin skills with patching infrastructure issuesis preferred
- Bank experience is a bonus
- Eclipse and Ant/Maven
Nice to have
- Work experience in the Banking industry is an asset
- Understanding of Enterprise Security vulnerabilities is an asset
- Ability to work independently, seeks to resolve issues by research and hands on experimentation
- Strong interpersonal skills, proven ability to communicate well with team members

Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science (or related discipline)
