Java Developer

Summary

Leads a team of Java developers to design, build, and maintain Spring Boot/Java EE applications with REST APIs, databases, and security best practices.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a Team of Java Developers
  • Design, develop, and maintain Java applications using frameworks such as Spring Boot, Spring Framework, and Java EE.
  • Write clean, scalable, and efficient code following best practices.
  • Participate in software development life cycle (SDLC), including analysis, design, coding, testing, and deployment.
  • Develop and integrate RESTful APIs and web services.
  • Work with databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL for data storage and retrieval.
  • Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic.
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize code for performance and scalability.
  • Implement security and data protection measures.
  • Stay up to date with latest Java technologies and industry trends.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Java Developer with at least 4 years of experience.
  • Strong knowledge of Core Java, OOP principles, and design patterns.
  • Hands-on experience with Spring Framework (Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Security).
  • Familiarity with Microservices Architecture.
  • Experience with database management.
  • Proficiency in version control systems (Git, GitHub, GitLab, SVN).
  • Experience in unit testing (JUnit, Mockito, TestNG).
  • Understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) is a plus.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Preferred Skills

  • Knowledge of the following technologies:

  • Eclipse IDE
  • Apche Maven 3.3.9
  • Hibernate
  • SMARTGwt
  • Postgres and/or Oracle Database
