Project Description

You will join the FX Linear Client and Trading Apps team in Kraków, part of a global Investment Bank Technology organization. The team works in an Agile environment and is responsible for developing and maintaining applications essential for Foreign Exchange (FX) trading, including supervision, regulatory reporting systems, and other critical platforms.

As a Senior Java Software Engineer, you will play a key role in delivering business value while helping shape the future of our technology stack. You will also ensure high software quality and reduce technical risk across the solutions you develop.

Responsibilities

• Work on exciting and high-profile Foreign Exchange (FX) trading projects.
• Collaborate with the team to shape the future architecture of our platforms.
• Participate in the organization's cloud transformation journey.
• Share your knowledge and technical expertise with other team members.
• Be involved in the entire Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), working closely with business and technology stakeholders.
• Take ownership of end-to-end delivery of features and initiatives.
• Modernize existing applications to reduce technical risk.
• Provide L3 production support when required.

Mandatory Skills

• Strong experience with Java, with an emphasis on software engineering and solution delivery rather than coding alone.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform).
• Experience working in distributed environments.
• Experience with most of the following:
• Cloud virtual machines, cloud computing, and containerization
• GitLab and GitLab CI/CD pipelines
• SQL (Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server)
• Automated testing and Continuous Integration (CI)

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Experience with Azure and .NET frameworks.
• Knowledge of Rates, Credit, Bonds, and Derivatives.
• Experience providing L3 production support.
