Summary
A hands-on mid-level developer (4-8 yrs) builds and supports AWS serverless, event-driven, integration-heavy backend applications using Java/Spring Boot, Lambda, Step Functions, TypeScript, and Terraform, including production support in an Agile enterprise environment. On-site 5 days/week in downtown Calgary.
Location: Downtown Calgary, On-site, 5 days per week
Duration: Long term
Interview: 2 rounds, 1st round is 1 hour – technical , 2nd round - 45 minutes, with HM
Ideal profile:
A 4–8 year developer who has recently built AWS serverless applications using Lambda + Step Functions + Java/Spring Boot + TypeScript + Terraform and can explain their own hands-on work in detail.
Project:
Client is looking for an AWS-based application developer to build and support serverless, event-driven and integration-heavy applications. The developer will work on backend services, AWS Lambda/Step Functions, Java/Spring Boot, TypeScript, and Terraform in an enterprise environment.
What Client Is Looking For:
- Intermediate, hands-on developer — actively coding, not an Architect/DevOps/Manager.
- Java + Spring Boot for backend development.
- Terraform / IaC experience.
- Experience with event-driven architectures and enterprise integrations.
- Comfortable with production support, troubleshooting, Agile, GitHub/Jira/Confluence.
- Strong communication and ability to collaborate across teams.
- Must be willing to work onsite 5 days/week in Downtown Calgary.
