About Role:
We’re looking for a Senior Java Backend Engineer to join the founding team and take full ownership of backend systems.

What you’ll work on:
  • Core backend for real-estate tokenization.
  • Architecture, integrations, and internal services.
  • Payments, transactions, user onboarding.
  • Shaping engineering culture and best practices.
Tech stack:
  • Languages: Java
  • Core libraries/frameworks:
    - JDK 24
    - Gradle for dependency management
    - Javalin (Web framework)
    - JOOQ (SQL engine for Java)
    - Flyway for db migration
    - Prometheus & Grafana (a monitoring agent)
    Database engines:
    - PostgreSQL (a main purpose RDBMS used to store user and other data)
    - TimescaleDB (a time-series database, used as a tick database for historical data like FX rates etc.)
    - Redis (a general purpose in-memory key-value store)
    Infrastructure
    Cloud environments: Google Cloud Platform, Amazon Web Service
    CI/CD and provisioning:
    - GitHub
    - Docker
    - Ansible
    - Kubernetes
    - Terraform
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of software engineering experience.
  • Ability to work independently and own features end-to-end.
  • Hands-on experience with financial infrastructure — core banking, internal ledger systems, integrated payments (SEPA, Instant, card processing), KYC systems.
  • Proven experience building financial infrastructure from the ground up — not maintaining or extending existing systems.
  • Fluent level of English.
