Java Engineer – Facets (Healthcare Payer)

Role Summary
We are looking for an experienced Java Engineer with strong Facets experience to design, develop, test, and support healthcare applications across Claims, Eligibility, and regulatory initiatives. The engineer will work on Java-based solutions and integrations with Facets, supporting platform, data, and interface requirements aligned with business demand.
Key Responsibilities
· Design, develop, enhance, test, and support Java-based healthcare applications.
· Work extensively with Facets and applications integrated with the Facets platform.
· Support business functions across Claims, Eligibility, and other healthcare regulatory initiatives.
· Develop and maintain interfaces and integrations between Java applications, Facets, and downstream/upstream systems.
· Analyze business and technical requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions.
· Troubleshoot application, integration, and production issues and perform root-cause analysis.
· Work with databases and data flows supporting claims and eligibility processing.
· Develop and maintain APIs/services required for healthcare platform integrations.
· Participate in code reviews, unit testing, integration testing, deployment, and production support.
· Collaborate with product owners, business analysts, architects, QA teams, and other engineering teams.
Required Skills
· Strong hands-on experience in Java/J2EE application development.
· Hands-on experience with TriZetto Facets.
· Good understanding of healthcare payer processes, particularly:
o Claims processing
o Member eligibility
o Enrollment/member data
o Provider and benefit-related data
· Experience developing and supporting REST APIs, web services, and system integrations.
· Strong knowledge of SQL and relational databases.
· Experience with application troubleshooting, debugging, and production support.
· Understanding of healthcare data flows and interfaces involving Facets.
· Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Preferred Skills
· Experience supporting large-scale healthcare payer platforms.
· Experience with Spring/Spring Boot and microservices architectures.
· Exposure to cloud platforms and CI/CD environments.
· Experience with batch processing, data integration, or ETL solutions.
· Familiarity with healthcare regulatory and compliance-driven application changes.
· Experience working in Agile/Scrum delivery environments.
