Java Engineer & Senior Java Engineer
We are hiring Java Engineers across mid to senior levels to join a global team building scalable, high-performing backend systems. In this role, you will work on modern enterprise applications, developing APIs and microservices that support critical business and transaction systems. Depending on your experience, you may also contribute to system design, technical leadership, and best practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain Java-based backend applications
- Build and enhance REST APIs and microservices
- Collaborate with cross-functional and global teams in an Agile environment
- Contribute to system improvements, deployments, and performance optimisation
- (For more experienced candidates) Support system design, code reviews, and mentoring
Requirements & Skills
- Hands-on experience with Spring Boot / Spring Framework
- Experience building REST APIs and microservices
- Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP)
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
- Familiarity with Hibernate or similar ORM frameworks
- Knowledge of container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes/OpenShift) is a plus
- Experience with Kafka or messaging systems is a plus
- Background in banking, fintech, or enterprise systems is an advantage
- For senior-level candidates: experience in system design, mentoring, or technical leadership
