Java Full-Stack Developer
Summary
Permanent, hands-on full-stack role (hybrid: 2 days/week in a Central London office) at an established enterprise software company. Requirements:- Strong commercial experience with Java and Spring Boot.
- Experience developing microservices and RESTful APIs.
- Commercial frontend development experience with Angular, React, or Vue.js; Angular is preferred, and candidates with React or Vue.js experience should be willing to learn Angular.
- Good understanding of relational databases and the ability to write and troubleshoot SQL queries.
- Experience with Docker/Kubernetes or OpenShift.
- Strong knowledge of software engineering principles, design patterns, and object-oriented programming.
- Experience developing and maintaining complex enterprise applications.
- Familiarity with Git, testing, debugging, and modern software development practices.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with confidence discussing technical implementations in depth.
- Comfortable working across frontend and backend development.
- Desirable: experience with cloud technologies and DevOps/CI/CD pipelines, Jenkins, Maven or other build tools, J2EE, JBoss or legacy enterprise systems, large-scale transactional systems, billing platforms or telecommunications software, and AI-assisted development tools.
- Telecommunications experience is desirable but not essential.
- The role may suit someone with 5+ years of full-stack development experience or a senior developer who enjoys hands-on coding and taking ownership of technical solutions.
- Design, develop, and enhance our core software products.
- Work with developers, architects, and project managers to deliver robust, scalable, and maintainable solutions.
- Contribute to the modernisation of our software platforms, working with Java, Spring Boot, Angular, REST APIs, and microservices.

This is a permanent, hands-on individual contributor role in Central London, suited to someone who wants to remain technically focused across backend and frontend development rather than move into people management. Salary is £60,000–£75,000, depending on experience. The hybrid arrangement is two days per week in the office and three days from home, with working hours of 09:00–17:30.
