Java Full Stack Developer (GCC) | Contract
Summary
Build and maintain web apps using Angular frontend and Java/Spring Boot backend, containerize with Docker, and deploy to AWS/Azure while supporting legacy JSP/Servlet/EJB systems.
Job Scope
- Design, develop, and maintain web applications using Angular on the frontend and Java (Spring / Spring Boot) on the backend.
- Build and consume RESTful APIs; implement business logic, data access layers (Hibernate), and integration services.
- Support and enhance existing applications built on JSP, Servlets, and EJB running on Tomcat and JBoss application servers.
- Containerize applications using Docker and deploy to cloud environments on AWS and Azure.
- Perform code reviews, unit testing, and support SIT/UAT cycles; remediate security findings from VAPT and sonar code scans.
- Troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis, and deliver fixes within agreed SLAs.
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation including design specifications, deployment guides, and handover documents.
Job Qualifications
- Degree in Computer Science or Information Technology, or any related fields.
- 5 years of experience in frontend and backend development.
Mandatory Skills
- Frontend: Angular (component‑based development, REST integration, responsive UI)
- Backend: Java, Spring, Spring Boot, Hibernate
- Web/Legacy Frameworks: JSP, Servlets, EJB
- Application Servers: Apache Tomcat, JBoss (WildFly/EAP)
- Databases: Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server (SQL, performance tuning)
- DevOps & Cloud: Docker; hands‑on deployment experience on AWS and Azure
Good to Have
- Experience with Government on Commercial Cloud (GCC) environments
- Singpass integration experience (OIDC/OAuth 2.0 authentication flows)
- Apache Solr (search indexing, configuration, upgrades)
- Jasper Reports (report design and integration)
- Apache Struts framework (maintenance of legacy applications)
