Java Full Stack Engineer
Summary
A Java full-stack engineer in Singapore who builds, maintains, and supports enterprise applications in a highly regulated environment. Day to day: developing Java/Spring Boot backends and REST APIs, React frontend work, deploying via GitLab CI/CD, Docker, and Kubernetes, and troubleshooting production issues.
We are looking for a JavaFull-stack Engineer based in Singapore to develop, maintain and supportenterprise applications in a highly regulated environment.
The role requires strong Javabackend skills, working knowledge of React, hands-on deployment experience, andthe ability to troubleshoot production issues and participate in technicaldiscussions with clients.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain backend services andRESTful APIs using Java and Spring Boot.
- Develop and troubleshoot database queries andintegrations to support application functionality and performance.
- Maintain and enhance React components,including integration with backend APIs.
- Support application deployment andtroubleshooting using GitLab CI/CD, Docker and Kubernetes.
- Configure, integrate and troubleshoot APIgateways and reverse proxies.
- Investigate production issues, analyseapplication logs, identify root causes and implement fixes.
- Remediate vulnerabilities in application codeand dependencies, and verify that the implemented fixes resolve the identifiedissues.
- Participate in and, where required, leadtechnical discussions with clients to clarify requirements, explain issues andrecommend solutions.
RequiredSkills and Experience
- Strong hands-on experience with Java, SpringBoot and RESTful API development.
- Solid database and SQL experience, includingdata integration and troubleshooting.
- Working knowledge of React and frontendintegration with backend services.
- Hands-on experience with GitLab CI/CD, Dockerand Kubernetes.
- Experience with API gateway and reverse proxytechnologies, such as Nginx.
- Ability to support production issues throughlog investigation, debugging and root cause analysis.
- Experience with application and dependencyvulnerability remediation.
- Good spoken English, with the ability tocommunicate clearly with clients and explain technical concepts effectively.
PreferredExperience
- Hands-on experience with Axway API Gateway orsimilar enterprise API management platforms.
- Experience supporting Singapore government orpublic-sector projects, or other highly regulated environments.
- Exposure to Government Commercial Cloud(GCC), Government Data Centre (GDC) and/or OpenShift Container Platform (OCP)environments is a strong advantage.
