Java Full Stack Engineering Lead - Vice President

As a Full Stack Technical Lead, you will architect and build scalable front-end and back-end solutions using modern technologies, while leveraging Agentic AI, Generative AI, NLP, and conversational AI to transform finance operations. Collaborate with global Finance, Risk, and Engineering teams to deliver secure, high-impact, enterprise-grade applications.
About the Platform
The Intelligent AI-Powered Adjustment Platform is a strategic transformation initiative designed to reimagine finance adjustment processing through automation and intelligence. As the technical lead, you will architect and build a platform that:
- Orchestrates agentic AI workflows to automate complex, multi-step adjustment processes end-to-end.
- Delivers conversational (chat-based) experiences that let users initiate, review, and resolve adjustments naturally.

What You'll Do
Engineering and Architecture
- Architect and build the Intelligent AI-Powered Adjustment Platform from the ground up as a strategic finance transformation initiative.
- Design and implement agentic AI workflows that automate complex, multi-step finance adjustment processes.
- Design enterprise-grade, highly scalable, resilient full-stack applications across all layers of the stack.
- Drive API-first design and microservices ecosystems that are robust, secure, and maintainable.
AI-Enabled Innovation
- Build and integrate NLP-driven capabilities — intent recognition, entity extraction, classification, and summarization — to process adjustment requests intelligently.
- Deliver conversational AI / chat experiences powered by Large Language Models (LLMs).
- Pioneer the adoption of Generative AI across the engineering lifecycle — from AI-assisted coding (GitHub / Microsoft Copilot, Devin) to AI-driven testing, code review, and documentation.
Leadership and Strategy
- Coach, mentor, and grow a high-performing team; manage performance and development.
- Partner and negotiate with senior technical and business leaders across functions and with external parties.
- Make sound, evaluative judgments in complex, ambiguous situations using multiple sources of information.
What You'll Bring
Must-Have Skills
- 9+ years in application development or systems analysis, with strong experience architecting enterprise-scale applications.
- Strong Experience in Architecting and implementing Enterprise highly scalable applications in production environment.
- Deep full-stack expertise: React, TypeScript, Node.js, modern stylesheets / CSS, and Java
- Strong hands-on experience designing modern UI frameworks with React, including conversational or chat-based interfaces.
- Robust API development and ecosystem experience.
- Hands-on experience with Java / Spring / Spring Boot / Spring Cloud / Spring Data JPA / Microservices.
- Strong test-driven development discipline: Jest, Cypress, JUnit, Mockito.
- Solid troubleshooting skills (debuggers, logs, profiling).
- Containerization and orchestration: OpenShift, Docker, Kubernetes.
- CI/CD and build tooling: Jenkins, Tekton, UDeploy, Harness, NPM, Maven, Gradle.
- Databases: SQL databases, MongoDB, Oracle.
- Experience in Financial Services or large, complex, global environments.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
AI and Intelligent Platform Skills (Strongly Preferred)
- Practical experience with NLP techniques — intent detection, entity extraction, classification, summarization.
- Experience building conversational AI / chatbot experiences powered by LLMs.
- Generative AI fluency — hands-on with GenAI productivity and coding tools (Microsoft Copilot, Devin, and similar).
Additional Nice-to-Haves
- Observability and monitoring tech stacks (metrics, logging, tracing).
- Middleware and streaming: Tibco RV / EMS, Solace, Kafka.
- Familiarity with low-code automation platforms.
Education
- Bachelor's / University degree or equivalent experience.
- Master's degree preferred.
