Java Fullstack Software Engineer - Mobile Payment

The opportunity

Our agile and multi-functional Mobile Payment team as part of the Worldline Frontoffice Department which deals with designing, developing and running the real-time payment applications of Worldline. Our international team is located in Zurich, Biel and Milan.

Become a part of our innovative DevOps team and develop with us ground-breaking future mobile payment backend solutions (like Wero, Klarna, TWINT, PayPal, Alipay, WeChat Pay,..) and see them being used worldwide!

Day-to-day responsibilities

• Analyze, design, develop, implement and operate modern mobile payment applications within tight requirements regarding rapidity, high availability, integrity, robustness, quality, etc.
• Create innovative value in collaboration with our international partners
• Improve existing lean and agile approaches with the support of modern architectures, Microservices and pioneering tools such as Kafka, Docker, Quarkus, etc.
• Willingness to take on technical leadership
• Improve and advise on our continuous delivery pipelines as well as our deployment infrastructure and be abreast of the latest developments
• Work in a multifaceted SCRUM team which is fully responsible for their applications all the way from design, implementation through to production (DevOps)
• Readiness to mentor others in architecture, engineering and DevOps skills

• Willingness to deep dive into our ambitious business helping to acquire new, modern and innovative payment solutions with quick times-to-market
• Higher education in information technology (university degree or equivalent)
• Experience in, and passion for Java Applications engineering
• Knowledge of several of the following areas: Java Backend Development (JDK, Maven, testing (JUnit, Mockito, Wiremock), Quarkus, Wildfly, JPA/Hibernate/Panache), SQL/Oracle, REST/SOAP Interfaces, API security methods (mTLS, OAuth, JWS, JWT)
• Experience in some areas like GitLab, GitHub, Docker, Openshift, Jenkins, Jira
• Teammate with agile mentality and willingness to learn
• Pro-active person who wants to be part of a phenomenal team with flexible and modern working conditions
• Good English skills and conversational Italian is required

Salary Information

In accordance with the EU Pay Transparency Directive, the salary range for this position is between:

Italy: 35,000.00 euro and 48,000.00 euro gross annual salary.

The final offer will be determined based on the candidate's professional experience, specific skills, and qualifications.
