Java Infrastructure Developer CONTRACT

The role

Our client is a Tier-1 Bank who is modernizing global payments and digital banking platforms. This is not a pure coding role, rather a 50/50 split between development and infrastructure engineering.

You'll write Java, but you'll also build pipelines, upgrade servers, and safely move applications from Dev to Prod across Windows and Linux environments.

If you love solving complex problems across the full stack, from code to OS to deployment you will love this role.

What You'll Do

  • Upgrade and manage Windows Servers (IIS/.NET) and Linux servers (Java/NoSQL) through all environments
  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Ansible, and Tower
  • Write and maintain core Java/Spring microservices and applications
  • Own environment stability, configuration, and safe production rollouts
  • Collaborate with global teams in an Agile delivery model

What You Bring

  • 5+ years Java/JEE development (Spring framework)
  • Strong experience with containers (Docker/Kubernetes) and microservices
  • Hands-on experience with both Windows Server (IIS) and Linux environments
  • Self-starter who drives projects end-to-end with minimal direction
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills

Nice to Have

  • Banking / Treasury / Payments domain experience
  • PowerShell or Bash scripting

Why You'll Love It

  • Work on high-impact financial technology that moves billions globally
  • Blend of Dev + Ops = never boring
  • Autonomy to own projects from start to finish
  • Global team, modern tech stack, and real responsibility from Day 1
