Role: Java Micro App Quality Engineer – Salesbuilder

Role Summary: We are looking for a Java Micro App Quality Engineer (QE) to support the testing and quality assurance of Salesbuilder micro applications. The candidate will be respo​​nsible for validating Java-based microservices/applications, ensuring functional accuracy, integration readiness, API reliability, and overall application quality across releases.

Key Responsibilities

· Analyze business requirements, user stories, and technical specifications for Salesbuilder micro applications.

· Prepare and execute test scenarios, test cases, and test data for Java-based micro app functionality.

· Perform functional, regression, integration, smoke, and end-to-end testing.

· Validate REST APIs/microservices using tools such as Postman, Swagger, or similar API testing tools.

· Work closely with developers, BAs, product owners, and QA teams to clarify requirements and resolve defects.

· Identify, document, track, and retest defects using tools such as JIRA / ALM / Azure DevOps.

· Support automation opportunities for reusable test scenarios where applicable.

· Validate backend data using SQL queries and perform database testing as required.

· Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, defect triage, and retrospectives.

· Ensure quality deliverables within sprint timelines and release milestones.

Required Skills

· Strong experience in Quality Engineering / QA testing.

· Good understanding of Java-based microservices / micro applications.

· Experience in API testing using Postman, Swagger, REST Assured, or similar tools.

· Strong knowledge of SDLC, STLC, Agile/Scrum methodology.

· Experience in writing clear test cases, test execution reports, and defect documentation.

· Basic to intermediate knowledge of SQL for backend validation.

· Experience with defect tracking and test management tools such as JIRA, ALM, qTest, or Azure DevOps.

· Good analytical, debugging, and communication skills.

Preferred Skills

· Exposure to automation testing using Selenium / Java / REST Assured / Cucumber.

· Experience testing applications built on Spring Boot / microservices architecture.

· Knowledge of CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Git, Bitbucket.

· Banking or financial domain experience is preferred.

· Prior experience with sales, CRM, or advisor-facing applications will be an added advantage.
