Java / Python Developer

As a Mid-Level .NET Developer, you will contribute to delivering digital services for the public sector by building robust, secure, and testable code. You will own complete features, collaborate with senior developers, and start mentoring junior colleagues while growing your own expertise. You’ll work in a cross-functional agile team to implement technical solutions that meet policy and user needs. • Design, build, and maintain .NET applications with C# and .NET Core/6+
• Develop and deploy cloud-native solutions using Azure services (App Services, Functions, Service Bus, Azure SQL)
• Adhere to secure coding practices and meet government security and WCAG accessibility standards
• Collaborate in an agile team with Product Owners and Delivery Managers to deliver user-centered features
• Mentor junior developers, participate in code reviews, and share knowledge
• Operate and monitor services, contribute to maintenance and issue resolution

• Strong proficiency in C# and .NET Core/6+
• Azure experience with App Services, Functions, Service Bus, Azure SQL, Key Vault
• RESTful API design, microservices, event-driven architecture
• SQL Server and database design/optimisation
• CI/CD experience (Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions) and automated testing
• Unit and integration testing focus
• Experience in secure coding practices and accessibility standards (WCAG)
