Java Software Developer / Software Engineer (Backend)

Description:

• Participate in the full software development lifecycle: system design, coding, integration, testing and deployment.

• Build and maintain scalable backend systems using Java and Spring Boot.

• Design and optimize REST APIs for robots, applications, and cloud services.

• Apply cloud-native and SaaS principles to build scalable, high-performance systems.

• Explore and support the integration of AI/LLM features into robotic control platforms.

• Work with Microsoft SQL Server using JDBC, MyBatis, etc.

• Collaborate closely with frontend developers, DevOps, and robotics teams.

• Deploy and monitor systems on cloud platforms such as AWS/Azure.

Requirements:

• Degree, Associate Degree, or Higher Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related Engineering discipline.

• Strong experience in Java backend development.

• Hands-on experience with:

  • Java and Spring Boot

  • REST API, JSON

  • JDBC, SQL and MyBatis or other mainstream ORM frameworks

  • Microsoft SQL Server or other mainstream RDBMS

• Knowledge of cloud services such as AWS/Azure are an advantage.

• Experience with AI coding tools such as GitHub Copilot is highly desirable.

• Good collaborative mindset and problem-solving skills in cross-functional team settings.

• Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and eager to learn emerging technologies like AI/LLM and robotics.

• Good English and Chinese communication; Mandarin is a plus.

• Legal right to work in Hong Kong.

• Candidates with more experience will be considered for senior roles.
