Java Software Engineer
Summary
Builds secure, scalable Java microservices with Spring Boot, Kafka, and Kubernetes, integrating identity management and CI/CD pipelines.
We will only consider the candidates who fulfill ALL the mandatory requirements.
NOTE:
The selected candidate will have to show a certificate of good conduct.
Task to be performed:
- Design and develop production grade, enterprise level systems that make extensive use of messaging and microservices.
- Participate in the Java implementation of applications and micro-services involving integration with search engines, being able to write backend code in a reliable, fast, scalable, and secure way, satisfying requirements and service level agreements following both a functional and reactive programming approach.
- Write OAUTH authentication mechanisms. Implement validation mechanisms as unit and integration tests.
- Assist with deployment and configuration of the system. Setup CI/CD pipelines. Familiarity with Kubernetes/Docker is assumed.
- Follow Scrum procedures and disciplines. Estimate the work to be done upon request.
- Write technical documentation. Account for secure coding practices, as well as logging and auditing features.
- Work with Git following pull request procedure.
- Write clean, secure and high-quality code
Mandatory Requirements
- Minimum 6 years of professional experience with Java development
- Strong experience with Java 21+, Spring and Spring Boot
- Experience with microservices and REST API development
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
- Experience with Kafka and/or ActiveMQ
- Experience with CI/CD systems (Azure DevOps/TFS)
- Experience with Microsoft SQL Server, Spring Data and Hibernate
- Knowledge of Git, Maven and IntelliJ/Eclipse
- Experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban)
- Experience with Apache Camel or Spring Integration
- Professional experience with biometric and identity management solutions.
