Java Software Engineer
Summary
Build and maintain Java-based enterprise applications using Spring Boot or J2EE, Hibernate/JPA, and SQL databases.
Salary: £40,000 - 50,000 per year
Requirements:- Commercial Java development experience.
- Experience with Spring Boot or J2EE.
- Experience with Hibernate / JPA.
- Experience with SQL Server or MySQL.
- Experience with Linux (Red Hat, Rocky Linux or similar).
- Strong understanding of object-oriented programming.
- Excellent communication skills.
- A proactive attitude with a genuine sense of ownership.
- Desirable: experience with Vaadin.
- Desirable: experience with GXT / GWT.
- Desirable: experience with HTML5 and CSS.
- Desirable: experience with RESTful APIs.
- Desirable: experience with Git.
- Desirable: full software development lifecycle experience.
- Must be eligible to obtain UK Government Security Clearance.
- Design and develop enterprise Java applications using Java and Spring Boot.
- Build responsive web applications and user interfaces.
- Develop robust backend services and REST APIs.
- Design, maintain and optimise SQL databases.
- Troubleshoot technical issues and deliver high-quality software solutions.
- Collaborate with customers and colleagues to understand requirements and design effective solutions.
- Take ownership of projects from design through to deployment and ongoing support.
- Contribute to a long-term product redevelopment programme.
