About The Role
As a Software Engineer you could work with bleeding edge technology as you build innovative fintech products that change the way the world pays, banks and invests. This will involve developing core versions of software applications, identifying client requirements and technical specifications, interacting with engineering groups and training clients on applications.
What You Will Be Doing
- Designing, programming, debugging and modifying software enhancements
- Interacting with product managers and users to define requirements and modifications
- Participating in software design meetings to determine technical requirements
- Working with internal Client Training, Client Relationship and Sales teams
What You Will Need
- 2+ years experience with end-to-end systems development life cycles and standards
- Knowledge of financial industry practices, regulations and operations
- Fluency in sequence diagrams, class models, etc.
- Proficiency in solutions design and requirements definition disciplines
- A bachelor’s in computer engineering, computer science or other related discipline or equivalent experience

Senior Software Engineer Responsibilities
As a Senior Software Engineer at FIS, you’ll join a team of experienced professionals developing the Open Payment Framework Tools. Your main focus will be building and maintaining features of the OPF Visual Toolkit which enables clients to build payment solutions more efficiently, significantly reducing their implementation time and accelerating FIS’s delivery of tailored solutions. You’ll also help analyze and design new features, proactively solve technical challenges and ensure timely project execution. Motivation, experience and a desire to keep learning are key factors to success.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent in education, training, or work experience
- Five years of experience as a Java developer with proven knowledge of the Java SE 17 platform and design patterns
- Proven experience with Eclipse IDE, XML processing and JUnit
- Experience with Eclipse RCP or willingness to learn (plus)
- Oracle, PostgreSQL, Jenkins, BitBucket, GIT and Maven knowledge (plus)
Other Requirements
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for a technical audience
- Good attention to detail, self‑disciplined and motivated
- Ability to prioritize and self‑manage time and tasks
- Very good English
- Experience with the development of financial software applications (plus)

The pay range for this full‑time position is 138,300.00 – 190,150.00 PLN yearly and reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for this position based on the posted role, level, and location. Within the range, actual individual starting pay is determined by additional factors, including job‑related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
