Java Software Engineer – Legacy Modernization (Delphi/Java17)

NTT DATA Europe & Latam seeks an experienced Software Developer with strong Delphi knowledge and Java 17 skills to join a team responsible for developing and modernizing applications in Dienstreisemanagement (Business Travel Management).

The role is part of the EMS – Employer and Employee Services organization, focusing on HR-related processes, with opportunities to analyze legacy systems, design new features, and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Develop, maintain and enhance existing Delphi applications. Contribute to modernization and migration of legacy functionality to Java 17. Analyze legacy code and business logic. Design and implement new application features. Support the replacement of the legacy application. Participate in implementation and integration projects. Collaborate with developers, architects, product owners and stakeholders. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in existing applications. Ensure code quality, maintainability and documentation. Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field. At least 4+ years of experience with Java 17. Strong professional experience with Delphi. Ability to understand and work with legacy architectures. Experience in software development, maintenance and modernization. German language skills required for project communication.
