Java Software Engineer

The Women in Engineering program is designed for forward‑thinking students who love solving unique and complex problems. The program is intended for women graduating in 2026 and beyond. This immersive experience offers a unique opportunity for participants to gain insight into the world of high‑frequency trading and learn what engineers and traders do at IMC.

If you have an academic background in Engineering, Maths, Physics, Finance, Economics, Actuarial Studies, Computer Science, or equivalent, then this 2‑day program is for you.

During this 2‑day immersive experience, you will:

• Learn the fundamentals of trading and engineering at IMC:
• Develop trading strategies using our custom‑built trading simulation
• Enhance your coding skills in our software and hardware workshops
• Learn from the best:
• Receive mentorship throughout the program, learning from IMC traders and engineers through desk‑shadowing, hands‑on workshops, and networking sessions
• Immersed in the IMC Culture:
• Enjoy IMC's Sydney office and join the team for breakfast, lunch and dinner
• Get to know fellow participants and IMC staff and immerse yourself in the collaborative, challenging, and exciting environment at IMC
