Java Software Engineer — Spring Boot, Beam & GCP
Summary
Builds and maintains Java services using Spring Boot and Apache Beam, running data pipelines on Google Cloud Platform (Dataflow, BigQuery, Pub/Sub).
Responsibilities
- In depth knowledge of Java concepts including Streams, Threads, and Collections
- Advanced proficiency in Java programming with experience using Spring Boot
- Proficiency in setting up Java projects using Maven or Gradle
- Understanding of BOM (Bill of Materials) in pom.xml and ability to manage version conflicts effectively
- Ability to configure logging in Java projects and monitor/debug logs in GCP
- In depth knowledge and hands on experience with the Apache Beam programming model and its Java SDK
- Proven experience working with Google Cloud Platform services including Dataflow, BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Pub/Sub, and optionally Cloud SQL
