Summary
Designs and develops performant, scalable Java applications end-to-end — from defining requirements and participating in the full development lifecycle to writing testable code, troubleshooting, and documentation. Core stack: Java/J2EE, Spring Boot microservices, SQL/relational databases, Spark/Storm/Hadoop, and Angular.
We are searching for a skilled programmer with a deep understanding of Java to design and develop performant and scalable applications.
Responsibilities
- Define application requirements.
- Participate throughout the whole development lifecycle.
- Write efficient and testable code and troubleshoot the application.
- Identify areas of improvement and make suggestions to improve performance.
- Write and update documentation.
- Identify bottlenecks and glitches and come up with ways to fix these issues.
- Assist in the maintenance of code quality, organization, and automation.
Requirements
- Degree in Computer Science or related field
- 5+ Years of working on the development of Java applications
- Experience working with relational databases
- Familiarity with test-driven development and object-oriented programming
- Good problem-solving and analytical skills
- Familiar with SQL, J2EE, Microservices, Agile, and Scrum.
- Comfortable using Spark, Storm, Hadoop, Angular 2/4/5, Spring Boot.
