We are hiring a Java / Spring Boot Developer on behalf of our client. This role involves designing, developing, and maintaining scalable backend applications and microservices using Java and Spring Boot. It's a great opportunity for someone who enjoys writing clean code, building robust APIs, and solving real-world engineering problems.
Role & responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain backend applications using Java and Spring Boot
- Build and integrate RESTful APIs and microservices
- Write clean, reusable, testable, and well-documented code
- Work with SQL/NoSQL databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB) using Hibernate/JPA
- Implement authentication and security using Spring Security, JWT, and OAuth2
- Integrate third-party APIs and messaging systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ)
- Debug, test, and optimize applications for performance and scalability
- Collaborate with frontend developers, QA, DevOps, and product teams
- Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, and daily stand-ups
- Deploy and maintain applications on cloud platforms using CI/CD pipelines
Preferred candidate profile
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience)
- 0 to 1 years of experience in Java development (internships and projects count)
- Strong knowledge of Core Java (OOP, collections, multithreading, exception handling)
- Hands-on experience with Spring Boot, Spring MVC, and Spring Data JPA
- Good understanding of REST APIs, JSON, and microservices architecture
- Experience with SQL databases and ORM tools (Hibernate/JPA)
- Familiarity with Maven or Gradle build tools
- Knowledge of Git/GitHub and version control workflows
- Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodology
- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills
- Good communication and teamwork abilities
