THE BACKGROUND
For our client, a financial European Institution based in Luxembourg, we are looking for an experienced Java Tech Lead to join a long-term mission in a major EU Institution, For the needs of the client, you need be based near Luxembourg to work hybrid (remotely 20-30% weekly or monthly).
More specifically, you will be responsible for…
Designing and implementing robust backend solutions using Java and Spring Boot.
Leading the technical design of new features and enhancements.
Coordinating and mentor other Java developers within the team.
Reviewing code and ensuring compliance with coding standards and best practices.
Driving software quality through design reviews, testing and continuous improvement.
Collaborating closely with Solution Architects, Business Analysts, QA engineers and DevOps engineers.
Analysing complex functional and technical requirements and translating them into scalable solutions.
Ensuring maintainability, performance and security of developed solutions.
Supporting CI/CD processes and participating in release activities.
Providing second-line production support, root cause analysis and resolution of complex production issues.
Taking ownership of technical decisions and proactively identifying opportunities for improvement.

Are you the perfect match?
Possession of a university degree.
C1 level English
6+ years of experience as a Java Developer including time as a Senior Java Developer
Excellent knowledge of
Java 17
Spring Framework / Spring Boot
JPA / Hibernate
SQL
Design and implementation of REST APIs
Strong experience with
Apache Kafka or other messaging technologies
Maven
