Java Architect

This is a remote position.

Responsibilities for a Java Architect

· Design end-to-end application architecture and ensure alignment with business objectives, scalability, security, and performance requirements.

· Lead the design and implementation of distributed, microservices-based, cloud-native applications using Java, Spring Boot, and related technologies.

· Mentor development teams, conduct architecture and code reviews, establish best practices, and guide teams in resolving complex technical challenges.

· Work closely with product owners, business stakeholders, project managers, and engineering teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.

· Lead the adoption of AI-powered development tools and coding agents across engineering teams. Establish standards, governance, and best practices for AI-assisted software development.

· Remain actively involved in software development by designing and coding critical application components, conducting code reviews, and providing technical leadership.

Must Have Skills

· Strong expertise in Java 17/21, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud.

· Experience designing Microservices Architecture.

· Cloud experience with Azure.

· Knowledge of Event-Driven Architecture (Kafka or RabbitMQ).

· Strong understanding of API design & security.

· Experience with Containers and Kubernetes.
