JavaScript Developer (Node.js and React)
Avia Solutions Group (ASG) Global Services Philippines is looking for a JavaScript Developer to contribute to the operations of Sensus Aero.
This position is based in the ASG Global Services Philippines office in BGC, Taguig, under a hybrid setup and working on Atlantic Standard Time Zone.
Sensus Aero is a web-based ERP platform built for independent aviation MRO (Maintenance, Repair & Overhaul) organizations. Designed by aviation experts, it helps MRO companies manage complex workflows — from quoting and work orders to parts logistics, planning, and regulatory compliance. Our product is trusted by MRO clients across multiple geographies and is actively evolving toward a modern, scalable architecture.
Role Overview:
The JavaScript Developer will play a key role in developing and modernizing business-critical applications across our platform. This role is responsible for building new features, enhancing application performance, and contributing to ongoing modernization initiatives across both frontend and backend systems. Working within a modern JavaScript/TypeScript environment, the JavaScript Developer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, maintainable, and high-quality solutions across web and mobile platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design, develop, and maintain full-stack applications using Node.js, React, and TypeScript.
• Build and deliver new features across ERP platforms, customer portals, and supporting microservices.
• Contribute to modernization initiatives, including migration of legacy backend components to NestJS and modernization of existing codebases.
• Develop and optimize REST APIs, ensuring application performance, reliability, and scalability.
• Work within microservice architectures, including micro-backend and micro-frontend environments.
• Implement and maintain unit and integration testing to improve software quality and system stability.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to clean, maintainable, and testable code practices.
• Collaborate closely with product owners, UX/UI designers, QA teams, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality software solutions.
What we are looking for:
• Strong experience with Node.js backend development, including building and maintaining REST APIs.
• Hands-on experience with React, including component design, hooks, and state management.
• Strong proficiency in TypeScript.
• Experience working with microservice architectures, including micro-backend and micro-frontend patterns.
• Experience with message queue technologies such as RabbitMQ, Kafka, or similar platforms.
• Experience writing and maintaining unit and integration tests.
• Familiarity with Git workflows, CI/CD pipelines, and modern software engineering practices.
• Ability to work within existing and legacy codebases while contributing to modernization efforts.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively in Agile/Scrum environments.
Nice to Have:
• Experience with NestJS or similar Node.js frameworks such as Express or Fastify
• Familiarity with Docker and containerized development or deployment environments.
• Exposure to enterprise applications, ERP Systems, or database-centric architectures.
