JOB DESCRIPTION

Summary/Objective

This position is responsible for carrying out all tasks assigned for coaching a specific sport. This position must agree with and support the Faculty/Board Member's Covenant and agree with/help fulfill CHA's Mission Statement.

Essential Functions (Responsibilities and Tasks)

  • Schedule all practices

  • Plan and lead all practice sessions

  • Provide feedback and coaching during games and events

  • Maintain player and team records

  • Coordinate the schedule of games and communicate with parents and student-athletes

  • Plan and organize transportation for away games and events

  • Mentor players to develop sportsmanship and respect for the game

  • Motivate players to improve through practice and individual coaching

  • Maintain the equipment and facilities to ensure safe playing conditions

  • Create a safe environment designed to keep athletes healthy and injury-free

  • Maintain budget for the specific sport being coached
