Job Summary

The Queen’s Journal is an entirely student-run newspaper at Queen’s University. The paper was founded in 1873 and has been continually published ever since. The Journal publishes a bi-weekly print edition and regular online content throughout the year.

Job Duties

Plan and post The Journal's published content to all relevant social media platforms decided upon with the Business Manager, Editor(s) in Chief and/or Managing Editor, after each issue has been released in-print and/or online

Work with The Journal's staff members and visuals team to create social media campaigns for community outreach and internal PR

Attend all training sessions to become familiar with the department and adhere to the general operations of the department

Respect and adhere to all company policies, procedures and ethical standards

Maintain timely communication with your direct supervisor

Attend and fully participate in all in person and virtual meetings

Complete all assigned tasks efficiently and attentively

Strive to foster a warm, comfortable and respectful atmosphere for all

Always serve as a representative of the AMS and its mission statement

Complete other job duties as assigned

Job Requirements

Possess strong organizational, interpersonal and customer service skills

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment

Working Conditions
