General Description
TheSocial Media Content Editoris responsible forassembling and editing visual content for social media platforms using provided images, videos, captions, and layout ideas. This role focuses on transforming raw materials into engaging and high-quality Reels, carousels, and stories — ensuring all deliverables are aligned with the brand’s style and ready for posting.
Job Responsibilities
- Edit short-form videos (Reels/TikToks)usingCapCut, including:
- Applying smooth transitions and text overlays
- Trimming, cropping, and sequencing clips
- Adding background music, sound effects, and captions
- Design carousels, stories, and static postsusingCanva(using provided visuals and captions).
- Ensure brand consistencyacross all visual assets (colours, fonts, style).
- Organiseand label deliverablesclearly in shared folders (Google Drive, Dropbox, or similar).
- Export and prepare final versionsin the correct formats (ready for upload).
- Collaboratewith the content creator, social media manager, or marketing team for revisions and feedback.
- Maintain an efficient workflow and deliver content according to the monthly plan and deadlines.
Requirements
- Proven experience invideo editing(CapCutpreferred) andgraphic design(Canva).
- Strong attention to detail and creative eye for layout, rhythm, and storytelling.
- Basic understanding of social media formats (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok).
- Good communicationand time management skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Familiarity with social media trends, hooks, and pacing.
- Knowledge of basic branding and visual composition.
- Organizedfile management and version control.
