CI&T is seeking a talented Senior Android Developer to enhance their team, specifically working with a prominent American investment client. This role is fully on-site at the Campinas office, necessitating daily attendance. As a member of the team, you will be instrumental in developing mobile applications tailored for the financial sector, employing agile methodologies throughout the delivery process.

What you'll do

• Collaborate closely with internal teams to create innovative solutions for a client in the financial services industry.
• Deliver features through agile release cycles, ensuring that product quality and stability remain a top priority.
• Work with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize enhancements while addressing defects that impact performance and user experience.
• Write and maintain scalable and efficient code for ongoing application development efforts.
• Conduct thorough testing and debugging to guarantee high-quality outputs.
• Engage in code reviews, providing constructive feedback and insights to fellow developers.
• Stay updated with industry trends and best practices to continuously improve development processes.
• Mentor junior developers, sharing knowledge and fostering a collaborative environment.

Requirements

• Proficient in English, with advanced communication skills.
• Must be a resident of Campinas and able to work on-site every day.
• Demonstrated experience in developing Android applications using Java and Kotlin.
• Strong understanding of Kotlin language conventions and best practices.
• Practical experience with dependency injection frameworks such as Dagger or Hilt.
• Knowledge of architectural patterns including REST, MVVM, MVC, and Clean Architecture.
• Experience with unit testing frameworks like JUnit and UI automation tools such as Espresso.
• Familiarity with component-based UI design principles and Material Design guidelines.
• Proven experience in building user interfaces using Jetpack Compose.
• Proficient in using Git for version control and familiar with Git Flow in collaborative environments.
• Understanding of CI/CD processes, particularly using GitHub Actions.

Nice to have

• Experience in migrating Android codebases from Java to Kotlin.
• Familiarity with transitioning projects from a single-module to a multi-module architecture.
• Experience in supporting QA teams with end-to-end automation using Appium.
• Knowledge of feature toggles and trunk-based development practices.
• Basic understanding of Node.js or the ability to interpret Node applications.
• Familiarity with Adobe tools such as Adobe Target, Adobe Analytics, or AEM.
