Senior Java/Python Developer with AI Skills

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer with expertise in Java first and a little of Python too, who is passionate about building modern, scalable software while leveraging Artificial Intelligence to dramatically improve engineering productivity. This is a hands-on engineering role for someone who embraces AI-first software development, automates repetitive engineering tasks, and takes end-to-end ownership of the services they build.

Key Responsibilities

Software Development

Design, develop, and maintain scalable, cloud-native applications and microservices.
Develop enterprise applications using Java and Python.
Build modern cloud-native solutions on Microsoft Azure.
Design and implement secure RESTful APIs and distributed systems.
Deliver production-ready software following Agile and DevOps best practices.

AI-First Engineering

Leverage AI-powered development tools to improve software delivery speed, quality, and consistency.
Build reusable AI workflows that automate repetitive engineering activities.
Continuously identify opportunities to improve developer productivity using AI.

Developer Productivity & Automation

Develop AI-driven solutions to automate code generation, testing, documentation, debugging, refactoring, and CI/CD pipelines.

Collaboration

Work closely with architects, product owners, QA, DevOps, and business stakeholders.
Mentor junior and mid-level engineers while promoting engineering excellence and AI adoption.

Must-Have Skills (Required)

Core Programming: Strong level in Java, goog knowledge in Python development, Object-Oriented Design, Spring Boot, RESTful API Development.
Cloud & Data Engineering: Microsoft Azure, Azure Databricks, Apache Spark, Delta Lake, SQL and Data Modeling.
Architecture & Microservices: Microservices Architecture, Distributed Systems, Event-Driven Architecture, REST API Design.
DevOps & Modern SDLC: Git, CI/CD Pipelines, Docker, Kubernetes, Agile/Scrum practices.
AI-First Software Development: Practical use of AI tools like GitHub Copilot, AI-Assisted Code Generation, Debugging, and Workflow Automation.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent communication abilities.
Advanced/fluent English communication skills. (You will work and be interviewed by people who don't speak portuguese)
