Job: senior data engineer

Life Cheq is looking for a Senior Data Engineer to own the analytics data layer for their fintech platform. The role involves building a fast, clean, and reliable data system that integrates various data sources (event-sourced architecture, external services, JSON logs) and serves well-modeled data to analysts, ML pipelines, and dashboards. The work is central to unlocking productivity across the business.

Responsibilities Design and implement a real-time ingestion pipeline for event-sourced data streams and JSON logs Define a clear semantic model and restructure existing data views into a maintainable architecture Qualifications Excellent SQL skills and a deep understanding of databases (indexing, query optimisation, internals) Experience with distributed data processing technologies Working Student – Healthcare Data Engineering (Computer Science / Data Science) Data Center Engineering Operations Internship, Data Center Engineering Operations
