Journeyman Mechanic - Diesel - 2nd shift - $2,500 Sign-On Bonus

The Journeyman Mechanic - 2nd Shift - 3:00pm-12:00am - $2,500 Sign On Bonus has the responsibility to troubleshoot major and minor mechanical problems, as well as have the ability to repair and adjust all necessary mechanical components. Work assignments will be received in the form of oral or written work orders, but the employee is expected to determine the nature and extent of needed repairs.

Essential Job Duties:

• Maintains, repairs and overhauls heavy vehicles and industrial equipment
• Interprets work orders and technical manuals
• Keeps equipment cleaned, lubricated and maintained
• Diagnoses faults or malfunctions
• Adjusts equipment and repairs or replaces defective parts, components or systems
• Obey all workplace health and safety and code of conduct workplace rules
• Undertake the training and assessment required under the training plan

Scope of Responsibility:

The Journeyman Mechanic is responsible for independently diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining heavy vehicles and industrial equipment to ensure safe and reliable operation. This role interprets work orders, identifies mechanical issues, performs necessary repairs or adjustments, and upholds all safety and compliance standards. This mechanic role works with moderate supervision while ensuring consistent, high-quality maintenance and operational readiness of equipment.
