Journeyman Mechanic

Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and safety-focused Maintenance Mechanic / Millwright Journeyman to install, troubleshoot, repair, maintain, and improve production equipment, building systems, and plant support equipment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Ability to read blueprints, drawings, schematics, and manuals.
• Industrial troubleshooting and repair experience.
• Welding and metal fabrication experience.
• Ability to operate company vehicles and equipment safely.

Equipment Maintenance & Repair

• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain machinery and support equipment.
• Operate and maintain steam, heat, power, and air systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance activities.
• Install and maintain piping systems.

Installation & Fabrication

• Construct and repair equipment from blueprints and sketches.
• Install machinery according to layout plans and specifications.
• Fabricate and repair sheet metal components.

Welding & Finishing

• Perform welding, brazing, flame cutting, grinding, and finishing activities.

Team & Project Support

• Lead projects as assigned.
• Maintain records and reports.
• Attend training as required.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area.

Required Qualifications:

• Mechanical Journeyman Certification Card or certificates and equivalent experience.

Physical Demands:

• Lift at least 50 pounds.
• Work 12-hour shifts.
• Must be able to climb and work safely from ladders.
• Must be able to climb on and maneuver around equipment as required to perform job duties.
• Must be able to use hand tools safely and effectively.
