Summary

Implements SAP job-scheduling automation on Redwood RunMyJobs for SAP (ECC, S/4HANA, RISE) and non-SAP estates, and migrates clients from Control-M, AutoSys, and Automic. Day to day: design workshops, agent and gateway setup, RedwoodScript/REST automation, testing, and documentation.

Hello, our name is Customertimes, but you can call us CT. We are a global digital engineering, product development, and technology consulting company. Headquartered in New York, we have a team of 1000+ experts working across 65+ countries.

About this job:
Projects fall into two types:

  • New RunMyJobs implementations: mainly SAP-centric (ECC, S/4HANA, RISE) and including non-SAP systems;
  • Migrations to RunMyJobs from BMC Control-M, Broadcom AutoSys and Broadcom Automic Automation (UC4) solutions.

Location: LATAM

How you'll make an impact:

  • Run workshops with customer IT operations, SAP Basis and application teams to capture requirements and agree the target automation design;
  • Assess existing scheduling estates: jobs, dependencies, calendars, agents and run history;
  • Design the RunMyJobs solution, covering structure, naming standards, calendars, alerting, SLAs, security, and promotion from development to test to production;
  • Set up connectivity: install and troubleshoot Redwood agents on Linux, Windows, and UNIX servers, configure the Secure Gateway (including proxies and certificates), and connect SAP systems;
  • Build automation using job definitions, workflows (chains), schedules, events, file triggers, RedwoodScript (Java-based) and REST API integrations;
  • For migration projects:
    • Extract definitions from Control-M, AutoSys or Automic and convert them using Redwood's tooling;
    • Resolve what does not convert automatically;
    • Run parallel testing, cutover and decommissioning of the legacy scheduler;
  • Unit test your work, demonstrate it to key users, and support integration testing (SIT), user acceptance testing (UAT), go-live and hypercare;
  • Produce technical design documents, runbooks and quick reference guides, and transfer knowledge to customer teams.

What makes you a great fit:

Required skills for all candidates

  • At least 5 years in a technical engineering, development or administration role, including building automated workflows, pipelines or batch processes in any tool;
  • Scripting: confident Linux shell scripting (Bash/KSH), and working knowledge of PowerShell;
  • Programming: ability to read and write Java or a similar language (C#, Groovy, Kotlin);
  • Operating systems: Linux and Windows Server administration at a level where you can install and troubleshoot services, users, and permissions;
  • Networking: HTTPS, TLS certificates, proxies, DNS and firewall rules;
  • SQL and APIs: working SQL skills and experience calling REST APIs (JSON, API keys, OAuth);
  • Automation quality: you write automation that is restartable, parameterized, and logs clearly, and you are comfortable working under change control across development, test and production environments;
  • SAP: at least an understanding of how ERP background processing works. Deep SAP knowledge is a plus;
  • Communication: fluent English, clear technical documentation skills.

You are a star if you have:

  • SAP S/4HANA, RISE with SAP, SAP BW process chains, SAP BTP, SAP IBP or SAP Cloud ALM;
  • ServiceNow integration, cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP), and managed file transfer (SFTP);
  • SAP Basis certification; BMC Control-M or Broadcom certifications.

If you're looking to contribute to global projects, grow your skills, shape the way you work, and be part of a connected international community — Customertimes is the place to build your next career chapter. Are you ready to spark the tech with us?
