Jr. Data and Business analyst
Summary
Supports data-related projects by coordinating between business, data, and tech teams, gathering requirements, and assisting with data analysis, validation, and reporting while developing on-the-job data engineering skills.
We are looking for a junior-level professional with exposure to data analytics, business analysis, or data engineering. The role combines business analysis, project coordination, data analysis, and data engineering support, with an opportunity to develop Data Engineering skills on the job.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate with business, data, and technology teams on data-related projects.
- Gather, document, and clarify business and data requirements.
- Support data analysis, validation, reporting, and data quality activities.
- Track project activities, dependencies, deliverables, and stakeholder follow-ups.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 1–3 years of experience in Business Analysis, Data Analytics, Data Engineering, BI, or a related field.
- Good working knowledge of SQL and basic understanding of databases and data concepts.
- Strong communication, analytical, coordination, and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong interest and willingness to learn Data Engineering on the job.
Good to Have:
- Exposure to Python or another programming/scripting language.
- Basic understanding of ETL/ELT, data pipelines, and data integration.
- Exposure to AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Familiarity with Power BI, Tableau, or similar BI tools.
Ideal Candidate:
- Has a foundation in Business Analysis, Data Analytics, or Data Engineering.
- Comfortable coordinating between business and technical teams.
- Analytical, proactive, organised, and able to manage multiple activities.
- Curious and quick to learn new data and technology concepts.
