Jr EMC/RF Test Engineer

Your Tasks

  • Perform EMC and RF testing of intentional and unintentional radiators for North American, European, and Japanese markets.
  • Conduct testing on wireless transmitters used for services including CMS, GMRS, CBRS, and U-NII.
  • Execute testing in accordance with applicable ETSI, FCC, ICES, MIC, CISPR, IEC, EN, MIL, automotive, and other EMC/RF standards.
  • Perform EMC testing in screened enclosures and in-situ environments while maintaining accurate electronic logbooks and test data.
  • Prepare test plans, test procedures, technical documentation, measurement uncertainty calculations, and detailed test reports.
  • Support customers throughout their EMC/RF testing programs, validate technical requirements, and conduct on-site visits when necessary.
  • Contribute technical information for customer quotations, test equipment and methodology development, continuous improvement initiatives, and ISO/IEC 17025 compliance.

Your Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or another technical discipline, or an equivalent technical diploma.
  • At least one year of experience in EMC or RF testing, product certification, or a related technical environment.
  • Working knowledge of EMC, EMI, RF, MIL, or automotive testing requirements, standards, methodologies, and accreditation requirements.
  • Automotive EMC testing experience is preferred.
  • Strong attention to quality, accuracy, documentation, and technical detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple testing and reporting activities while communicating effectively with customers and internal teams.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook, with flexibility to work off-site or on alternate shifts when required.

Additional Information

  • Occasional local travel and customer-site work may be required. A valid driver’s license is required.
  • The role regularly involves sitting, speaking, hearing, and using hands to handle or operate equipment.
  • Occasional walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and reaching may be required.
  • The ability to occasionally lift or move equipment weighing up to 25 pounds is required.
  • Close visual attention is necessary when operating equipment, reviewing data, and performing testing activities.
  • The work environment typically has a moderate noise level, and frequent communication by telephone, email, and other business tools may be required.
