Jr. Full Stack Developer

About the role

We're seeking a talented Jr. Full Stack Developer to join our growing development team. This is a contract position based in Metro Manila, where you will work on both front-end and back-end technologies to develop and maintain web applications. As a junior developer, you will have the opportunity to work on diverse projects, collaborate with experienced developers, and gain hands-on experience across the full technology stack whilst contributing meaningfully to our product development efforts.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, test, and maintain web applications using both front-end and back-end technologies


• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code following established coding standards and best practices


• Collaborate with senior developers and cross-functional teams to design and implement new features


• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to improve code quality


• Debug and troubleshoot application issues, identifying root causes and implementing solutions


• Assist in the planning and estimation of development tasks and project timelines


• Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends relevant to full stack development


• Contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes and tools

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience


• Strong foundational knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for front-end development


• Experience with at least one back-end programming language such as Python, Java, Node.js, or PHP


• Familiarity with relational databases and SQL


• Basic understanding of version control systems, particularly Git


• Knowledge of RESTful APIs and web services


• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail


• Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment


• Eagerness to learn new technologies and willingness to take on challenging tasks


• Preferred experience with modern frameworks such as React, Vue.js, Angular, Django, or Spring Boot


• Preferred exposure to agile development methodologies


• At least 1 year of experience in the same or similar role
