Jr. Software Development Engineer in Test
Summary

What You'll Do:
- Contribute to test automation initiatives while performing manual testing where appropriate.
- Develop, maintain, and enhance automated tests for UI, API, integration, and performance testing.
- Support the development and execution of automated test suites integrated into CI/CD pipelines.
- Follow established QA practices, standards, and testing processes to help ensure software quality.
- Participate in test planning, test execution, defect tracking, and quality reporting activities.
- Perform hands-on testing and actively contribute to day-to-day quality assurance activities.
- Collaborate with developers, testers, product owners, and business analysts to validate requirements and ensure quality outcomes.
- Learn and leverage AI-powered and agentic testing tools to support test design, automation development, defect analysis, and quality validation activities.
- Assist in identifying opportunities to improve test coverage, automation, and testing efficiency.
- Track quality metrics, report defects, and contribute to continuous improvement efforts.
What You'll Bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 0–3 years of experience in software testing, quality assurance, software development, or a related technical role.
- Basic understanding of QA methodologies, test automation, and modern software development practices (Agile, DevOps)
- Exposure to automation tools such as Playwright, Selenium, Postman, or similar testing frameworks.
- Foundational programming skills in at least one modern language (C#, JavaScript, Python, etc.).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a desire to learn and grow in software quality engineering.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work well within a team environment.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities.
- Exposure to software application development, testing, or support through coursework, internships, co-op programs, or professional experience.
- Familiarity with source control, CI/CD concepts, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), databases, or modern development tools is considered an asset.
- Interest in AI-powered development and testing tools, including AI-assisted automation and agentic workflows.
