About The Role

The Junior Underwriter supports the underwriting team by reviewing, organizing, and validating loan files to ensure accuracy, completeness, and guideline compliance prior to full underwriting review. This role requires strong attention to detail, a sense of urgency, and a commitment to the Company’s Core Values.

Essential Job Duties/Responsibilities:

• Commitment to and behavior modeling of the Company’s Core Values
• Observable display of a sense of urgency in the execution of duties
• Complete income calculations from bank statement help desk and provide completed income analysis to broker partners via Freshdesk
• Review and scrub loan initial submission package – review and label documents such as credit reports, income documents, Fraudguard / Loansafe, bank statements, purchase contracts, title documents
• Request missing required documents from our AE team via email
• Review and confirm Encompass 1003 and encompass forms match broker credit report and documents
• Confirm loan file perimeters meets program guidelines and matrix
• Regular on-site attendance
