JS Mechanical Engineer

The role (Supervisory) will support mechanical engineering requirements of SPD projects across the different business units, including equipment, research & development, analyses, design, utilities, facilities, production support, installation, commissioning, and other special engineering projects.

1. Lead and coordinate assigned mechanical engineering projects from planning, design, procurement, installation, testing, commissioning, and turnover.

2. Prepare and review mechanical designs, calculations, specifications, drawings, scopes of work, BOQs, cost estimates, and technical requirements.

3. Evaluate supplier and contractor proposals, quotations, technical submissions, and equipment selections.

4. Coordinate with Production, Maintenance, Facilities, Procurement, contractors, stakeholders, suppliers, and other engineering disciplines.

5. Monitor project schedule, cost, quality, safety, and technical compliance.

6. Conduct site inspections, equipment checking, testing, commissioning, troubleshooting, and technical evaluation.

7. Supervise assigned engineers, technicians, contractors, and project personnel during project design & execution.

8. Prepare project updates, technical reports, recommendations, punch lists, and turnover documentation.

9. Support value engineering, equipment improvement, reliability, productivity, energy efficiency, and cost reduction initiatives.

10. Ensure that mechanical works comply with approved specifications, applicable engineering standards, safety requirements, and company requirements.
