We are seeking a detail-oriented and
highly organized Junior Accountant to support the Finance team in maintaining
accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with accounting procedures.
The ideal candidate will assist with day-to-day accounting activities,
financial reporting, reconciliations, and statutory compliance while
demonstrating integrity and professionalism.
Key
Responsibilities (JD)
- Prepare and process daily financial transactions.
- Maintain accurate accounting records and financial
documentation.
- Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual
financial reports.
- Reconcile bank statements and company accounts.
- Process invoices, payments, receipts, and expense
claims.
- Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable
activities.
- Prepare journal entries and update the general ledger.
- Support payroll processing and statutory remittances
where required.
- Monitor petty cash and ensure proper documentation.
- Assist with budget preparation and expense tracking.
- Support internal and external audit exercises.
- Ensure compliance with company financial policies and
applicable accounting standards.(GAAP)
- Perform other accounting and administrative duties
assigned by management.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 1–2 year of accounting experience . (Internsip or NYSC experience may be considered)
- High proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP) and familiarity with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP)
- Solid understanding of GAAP, the accounting cycle, and basic financial statements (Balance Sheet, Income Statement).
- Exceptional attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and a commitment to accuracy.
