Junior Accountant

We are seeking a detail-oriented and responsible Junior Accountant to join our team at MPIL Steel Structures Pvt. Ltd. located in Andheri, Mumbai. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 1 year of experience in accounting and possess hands-on knowledge of Tally. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining financial records, processing accounting transactions, and assisting with day-to-day accounting operations. Key Responsibilities include maintaining daily accounting entries in Tally, handling sales and purchase entries, payment receipts, and journal vouchers. You will manage accounts payable and accounts receivable, perform bank reconciliation and ledger reconciliation, and prepare and maintain invoices, bills, vouchers, and other financial documents. Additionally, you will assist in GST-related entries, documentation, and return preparation, maintain proper records of expenses, payments, and outstanding balances, and assist with monthly account closing and preparation of basic financial reports. Coordination with vendors and internal departments regarding payments and invoices will also be part of your responsibilities. Required skills for this position include hands-on experience with Tally/Tally Prime, good knowledge of basic accounting principles and bookkeeping, and an understanding of GST and TDS. Knowledge of bank reconciliation, ledger maintenance, and invoice processing is essential, along with proficiency in MS Excel and basic computer applications.
