Junior Analyst
Summary
Junior Analyst supports a commodities and forex trading team by gathering pricing data, analyzing exchange reports, and managing cashflow, requiring basic finance knowledge and Mandarin fluency.
Job Description:
· Support Commodities and Forex Trading Team.
· Collate pricing for the assigned commodities.
· Generate framework and live monitoring platform of trading summaries.
· Summarize the trading statements from London Metal Exchange, Shanghai Futures Exchange and Chicago Mercantile Exchange, and provide basic analysis on the reports and statements from the Exchanges.
· Assist with Cashflow Management (FX)
· Liaise with relevant parties on trading, banking, and brokerage transactions.
· Perform any other duties as assigned by management from time to time.
Job Requirements:
· Diploma/Degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent.
· Basic knowledge in statistics, currencies, derivatives and financial instruments.
· Possess and demonstrate interest in China, London and US markets.
· Able to speak/write in English and Mandarin (as need to liaise with clients from China counterpart who speak/write in Mandarin).
· Proficient in Microsoft Office is essential.
· Self -motivated and adapt fast paced in dynamic environment.
